By human nature, we want to be with someone. And truth be told, despite the billions of humans in our planet, not all of us are with "someone". It takes more than just a handshake, a hello, a nod...it takes something very special, even magical...something uncontrollable within. And to be able to hold on it, someone needs to get it right! Anita and Jeff started their friendship as board members of the organization called 'A Tribe Called Joy,' an organization of diverse friends, family and folks who met online and offline who care to make each other's lives better and together as a group, make a difference in this world. She is from Copenhagen, Denmark and he is from Pennsylvania, USA. Both very passionate and caring people, their relationship blossomed and withstood the test of time and distance.
Both well traveled, Jeff as a former Apache Pilot with the US Army and Anita working for an international conglomerate as a Patents Database Manager turned photographer (she specializes in portrait, brides and boudoir - check out her work in Flickr and ByAnitaLarsen ) and an avid world traveler, they decided to celebrate their union in picturesque Savannah, Georgia ~ a place they both visited and love. Their wedding was intimate and lovely, attended by their closest friends from various parts of the United States and Denmark.
Their wedding was not like any other. It was not so much about the formalities nor sticking to the "wedding program" but it was all about celebrating each other's presence, each other's company and thankful for just being there amidst all wonderful people. As a friend and their (destination) wedding photographer, I witnessed a wonderful union of not just of two people, but of a new family..new friendships, new memories and most of all, renewed hope and faith that we live in a beautiful world and that IT is still possible : LOVE!
Someone got it right this time...they did! I am truly, truly happy they found each other. The world is definitely a better place because together, they can bring twice as much joy in this lifetime.
Thank you for having me fly from California to Georgia to capture your most precious moments...You are now life's MOST PRECIOUS ART :)
I love you.
