Arthur was too eager to come out to get t0 know mommy and daddy and too excited to see the world. Or it could very well be that the world just couldn't wait to see Arthur that he just had to come out a wee bit earlier than planned. Who cares if mom and dad have barely moved into their new home? Forget the crib or the hospital bag. All Arthur really needed was mom and dad. It helped too that grandma and grandpa already flew in from China...lucky, lucky Arthur...or better yet, lucky lucky mommy, daddy, grandma and grandpa. In the Chinese culture, the 30th day is the baby's first important celebration. I was lucky to have visited when Arthur was 30 days old and snap a few of these photos.
Thank you to Haidan and Vassili for making me a part of their new chapter as parents. Not too long ago, I was photographing their engagement and now I get to experience and see the beautiful love that surrounds their new home and new life. I'm so happy that I finally got to meet their parents and while we could not understand each other, the gesture of hospitality and kindness was more than enough to enjoy each others company over tea on that rainy day.
